- Take out the Trash: When you notice the trash is full, take it out immediately instead of pushing it down or thinking you’ll do it later.
- Hang Up Clothes: After changing clothes, immediately hang them up or put them in the laundry instead of leaving them on the floor or bed.
- Wash Dishes: As soon as you finish eating, wash your dishes instead of letting them pile up in the sink
- Sort Mail: Open and sort your mail as soon as it comes in—throw away junk, file important documents, and address any bills or action items.
- Put Away Groceries: After grocery shopping, immediately unpack and store all the items instead of leaving bags on the counter.
- Tidy Up After Cooking: Clean the kitchen while cooking (wiping counters, washing utensils) so there’s no mess to deal with afterward.
- Laundry: As soon as the laundry is done, fold and put away the clothes rather than leaving them in the basket or on the couch
- Replace Empty Toilet Paper Roll: Don’t wait—replace the empty roll the moment you notice it’s out.
- Make Your Bed: When you get up in the morning, make your bed right away so it’s done before the day starts.
- Water the Plants: If you notice a plant needs water, do it immediately instead of putting it off for later.
- Take Vitamins: When it’s time to take your vitamins or medication, do it right away instead of pushing it to later in the day.

- Respond to Emails: When you open an email, respond to it or take the necessary action immediately, rather than marking it “unread” to deal with later.
- Complete Small Tasks: If a task takes less than 2 minutes, finish it right away rather than adding it to your to-do list.
- Send Invoice: After completing a project, send the invoice immediately rather than putting it off for later
- Organize Files: When downloading or receiving a document, file it in the correct folder right away instead of leaving it on your desktop.
- Write a Follow-Up Email: After a meeting or call, write and send a follow-up email while it’s fresh in your mind.
